bloocrab 03-03-2002 12:47 PM

..."Best Buy"- Sales paper......has a "cam".....not camera, for Free!!!

...after sending in two "mail-in" rebates....it ends up being free. So Goose, you could video your stuff, and transfer it to US!!:D

bloocrab 03-03-2002 12:51 PM

I'm pretty happy with the camera I ended up getting...its the only one that "states" to be "splash proof"....I've checked out the gasket areas, and it does seem decent!!.....The resolution is adequate....2.1 I tink...:D

...the price was decent....its the DC5000 made by Kodak. If you go to the Kodak Website, and punch in that model, they walk you through the operations of the camera.....ITS REALLY KOOL!!!...

....Unfortunately, its been discontinued.....(I can't figure out why!!)...I had to get mine from....(Thanks to JohnR :D).....Cnet.com...

....Good Luck!!....Goose....

Striper1 03-03-2002 04:03 PM

TheSpecialist 03-03-2002 06:23 PM

WHat do you guys think about the different braids, co-polymer lines etc?

bloocrab 03-03-2002 06:26 PM

..I havent' done much reading up on them.....I'll be in a tackle shop this week, looking for line.....I need some Braid for the weekend Cod. So I may check that out too......

...did you purchase some, or thinking about it???....

TheSpecialist 03-03-2002 06:33 PM

Thinking about it. I have some 30lb Whiplash for my baitrunners when I jig with them in the canal. I wanted to try some on a lighter tackle rod for some schoolies.

TheSpecialist 03-03-2002 06:34 PM

I was thinking Spiderwire saltwater fusion. The 30lb is a 10lb mono diameter. I could get a bout 200 yds on this reel I have.
