I was in Disney for a week.I ate all kinds of junk.Managed to go up a few pounds and now back down a few.So progress this term was my slowest so far.I had a big cream cheese brownie at the Cheesecake factory,Alot of pizza,French Fries,Big Chicken sandwiches,Candy,Soda,Vodka. Yeah I slipped a little but kept it all in moderation and still managed 1 long jog while I was there and situps and pushups every other day.I'm stepping up my routine for the next month or so to try and hit my target weight. We'll see how it goes.Anyone who wants to quit should forget about it and just try harder. You'll feel better, look better,be healthier and if you have family and/or kids it may keep you around longer to watch them grow old.Don't give up.Try harder..

well i started out in Dec. so a little over 3 months. for the first 2 i really didn't see much of a difference and was starting to get frustrated then i switched up my workout routine and i started losing poundage fast. basically light weight, high reps, cardio after every workout(-300calories) and i just added an abb routine. i also started eating smaller portions of clean calories.

Surfhound from the other site was very helpful with my routine.

sounds like you're doing pretty well yourself NIB. keep it up. you;ll look in the mirror one and day and say Holy %$%$%$%$!! where did I go? great feeling...

zacs 03-06-2008 04:41 PM

bart 03-08-2008 01:37 PM

lots of dark beers, jack and cokes, and other recreational activities that led to late night raids on the dollar menu at McDonald's. fortunately i've cut out all those bad habits from my diet :)

i almost forgot, good job Bob :kewl:

Thats great I like to mix my workouts up.One day heavy short reops and negative's an one day light with more reps.I think the muscles like the mix up from time to time.I'm still a old skool guy at the gym.I always enjoyed getting stronger and seeing the results on the bar.Amazingly I can still move a pretty good amount of weight.I always did push ups so maybe thats why.The weight does not come off as fast as u build muscle mass but there's more to it than that..
I'm down 3 belt loops that tells me I'm just transfering weight to other area's that will help me to loose more as I go along.I go thru the gym pretty fast.My routine only takes 45 mins then I top it off on the treadmill and I ride the bike on off days.
March 22 my girlfriend and I are quiting smoking..
Sounds like a mid life thing don't it.I'm just trying to make 47 my midlife..

bart 03-08-2008 04:11 PM

thats awesome NIB. changing up definitely works. shocks your muscles pretty good. next week i'll be changing my routine back to strength training. i'll do a push/pull system, all pyramid sets. you probably already know this but for those that don't, pyramid sets are basically when you start out at 10 reps, then go down to 8 reps but add weight and so on until you get to 4 reps. then you go back to 10 reps and start with the original weight. really gets you ripped. one day ill do chest and triceps, the next day biceps, abs, and legs. then i'll rest one day. but ill still keep up with the cardio.

good luck quitting smoking man, i know how tough that can be. hope to see you up this way some time this season...

johnny ducketts 03-08-2008 05:14 PM

i think we need to update the % lost

The Dad Fisherman 03-09-2008 11:26 AM

Latest Updates are in place in Red.....Looks like the pace is slowing down time to re-focus, myself included. 2 months left....time to "git 'er done"

also, still waiting for entry fees.....some fresh pluggage might up the motivational limit.
