Sorry for your loss Steve, but at 87 and fishing not too far back, it sounds like he lived a long and fruitfull life. My thoughts are with you.

Your story is just like how I spent time with my grandfather. We rented old wooden boats out of Hough's Neck catching a boatload of flounder, and yes.....he always made me eat the shredded wheat and I hated it too. But great memories.

My deepest thanks to each and every one of you. Pop "told" me to go fishing this morning, and while I didn't catch the LARGE (though it WAS on for a minute or two, but that's another story), I caught a ton of small fish, and had a blast....so I guess he was watching over me.....I had fun, and learned a lesson......and he would have wanted me to do both of those things, and especially the lesson....:)
