Notaro 11-21-2003 12:08 PM

Dear Krispy, I got a question for you. If you are a carless and bike-less dude and carry a lot of load of chits to a spot, how should you limit yourself with tackles?

chris L 11-21-2003 12:29 PM

keep em low and follow through . take em out at the knees . complete all tackles . follow through . dammit follow through !

tlapinski 11-21-2003 03:20 PM

Krispy, i have a question about beach driving. when i drive on the sand, i always seem to get stuck. i made sure my tires were rock hard, 80#'s of air, but i still get stuck. i see alot of guys zipping around the sand and it looks like so much fun! i just want to join them in motoring down the beach at night with my high beams on! thanks in advance.

:ss:

bassmaster 11-21-2003 04:43 PM

i hope I dont get yelled at for replying 1st in the
ask Mr Krispy forum.
But You need 90 lbs of air in them tires

hooked 11-21-2003 05:03 PM

I thought that you had to have studded tires to drive on the beach or was that for driving on the jetty???

beachwalker 11-21-2003 06:16 PM

Krispy is going to lose it on you guys............

beachwalker 11-21-2003 06:34 PM

Oh I can't friggin resist.

Dude, when you are pumped up to 90 you can drive ON the water.

Just make sure it isn't too rough out because you DON'T want the waves to wash up over the windshield. The salt makes it so you can through.

I did it once and NEVER again. What a mistake ! I had to run the wiper wash for like a half hour after I got back to the beach. The waves were batting my windsheild wiper blades around like they were deer or something. Man, NEVER again. Wow!

I am getting pretty good at it. I was able to try out like 5 different trucks last year. My insurance company was freaking out but screw them. What do they know ? I mean I paid them like $500 or something last year so. Anyway the best truck FAR AND AWAY is the H2. It worked the best. My mom was kind of freaking out but she always does that so I was like, whatever........ I mean Maaaum ! Jeez, like GET over it already.

But really all of em' couldn't handle like anything over 6 feet deep. So don't go out any deeper than 6 feet and make SURE you have the Hummer because if you don't you will be swiiming back in.I know dude. I mean I did it like ten times or something but it was REAL fun so dude, go for it !

This website is like so killer

shore manic 11-21-2003 07:07 PM

wow, not even winter yet!!!

krispy, you're really taking a beating here!!! no wonder?? after sticking up for my thread. anyhoo is it posible to keep eels alive? if so how? and no that's not a typo!!!! anyhoo?

BasicPatrick 11-21-2003 08:01 PM

Ok Seriously,

Mr Krispy,

I keep reading how everyone has been taking fish by slingin eels this fall. So I go and buy some. I go to the beach and put one on the hook. So far so good. The problem is the slingin.

I think I do a good job of getting the eel in the sling shot (well, I use a wrist rocket instead)

When I release the sling shot the eel starts to be slung and then...Bam. the line from my rod (in the sand spike next to me) catches on th spool and comes shootin back at me.

what am I doin wrong???

I know I am an idiot, but I do live in MA.

wHo makes a floatink castmastER?

mrmacey 11-22-2003 10:51 AM

mr krispy can you please tell me

why when fishing with eels at night from a boat some fisherman reel in and wait till the eel is 2 feet in front of the boat thinking a fish is hitting it and try and set a hook like there winding up to cast across the canal and those eels shoot out of the water whizzzing by my head sometimes just bearly missing is there away to know where your eel is at when you cant see a damn thing out there at night.

winchmaster 11-23-2003 01:20 PM

Dear Aunt Krispy
My problem seems to be that I just don't feel stylish on the beach. I know what I need to look so good but don't know how to carry them. So how do you carry your tackle box, huge boat net, radio, and six pack of beer when your on a beach where no motor vehicles are allowed?

ok heres my problem
i had the people at k-mart select a distance casting combo for me. i got the super duper south bend 4 ft rollerguide rod and i matched it with the big fish south bend black and yellow plastic reel and i put on the highest quality 100 pound test wire line. this reel has those awsome patented plastic gears!!!!! this setup cost me a wopping $15!!! i know, alot of money for the setup but i know it will get alot of use. but one problem i have is i cant cast far. i had mr.fergison, the expert fisherman at k-mart help me pick this out so im sure he picked the right thing. can YOU help me out here?

thanks in advance, christian

chumbucket 11-23-2003 08:13 PM

.

Mr.Kripsy, I like making fishing lures out of old hockey sticks, but the ones I made keep spinning around when I reel them in. Is a lefty or righty stick better:confused: Forward's stick or defenseman's...maybe I should try a goalie stick:confused:

bassmaster 11-23-2003 09:20 PM
