I fish the canal and in my opinion the presentation of choice is a 3-4 oz. jighead with a 10" finesse or slugo I have even consistently outfished guys using live herring, there arent many baits that do that

lets see....
makeral,pogie,bomber,white needle,smack it (thats the name right...lol)herring,squid..i forget.. but never on a eel.:D
