I baby my 1204, just can't see throwing more than 2-1/2 and even then I don't go as hard as 2.

bm - 1-4 oz, try the lami gsb1201m. if not that, the 1322 is better for that lure range then the 1321. the 1321 tops out comfortably around 3 in my opinion. or else, go glass! sb1213m, you sissy!

as for batson's, i've built on them. they are similar to all stars, which i prefer. any rod can break if not built correctly or casted above its limitations. i think some manufacturers do not correctly weight the lure range of their rods. your rod builder should give you their opinions on a built rod as far as its limitations. although the 1084 is rated for 1-4, i would never recommend anything over 3 on it. i also am aware that some of the early fractures were due to defects in that run.

you want keep breaking blanks?? keep snap casting or drop the plug and rod down in front of you then lift the rod and plug up over your head, then while the plug is still going behind you, throw the rod foward to cast the plug,,,,or take the plug and swing it around over your head then let it fly,,in the mean time the line just wrapped around your tip...snap..snap..snap....I've have seen so many people do this it isn't funny. and when the rod goes bang they call it a pc. of crap. :rollem:

thanks wolf, I like the 1088, never really had one break b4
it is still my main stick.
the other rods im more into the balls they have fighting fish and maybe a little more power on the cast. for the most part a 100 foot cast is all you need here most the time.
cs wtf are you talking about

Update: I shipped the 2 broken blanks back to Batson, cost me $14.00 shipping.
Batson called me and determined blanks were defective and said he needs $15.00 per blank to ship me replacements. I say, stuff them both in one tube, they say it don't work like that. So I send them $30.00 shipping. 2 weeks later I get the blanks, 2 in one tube... :realmad: The fricken tip size isn't even the same on the ones they sent me, must be new model or some crap..
The friend I built them for doesn't want anything to do with Batson rods now so I'm stuck with 2 1209 blanks... :realmad:
So far these blanks stand me the original cost + $44.00 shipping + 2 reel seats, cork tape, thread, epoxy...etc...
Hell of a warranty policy....
