I was talking to a sales rep for Trophy at the boat show over the winter. He did his best to sell me one!
But he could not answer ??? to my satfaction, So I told him he couldn't sell me a Trophy if it was the last boat on earth!! I would hollow out a Log first!! :laughs:

Sorry Link!! Nice Boat!! :laughs:

"Next Boat"

The fishing deck on my present boat is 8'6" X 8'6". Thats the number one reason I got the Hydra-Sport. It had the most room
deckwise, than all the others I looked at. Don't get me wrong, I
am very happy with my boat. The only thing, I would like more
cabin roon. So I can stay aboard the boat on weekends. I have
put shore power aboard, I have electric heat, and even a 5" TV.
Its got a port-a-party, and even an 8'6" X 8'6" colapsable bimmini
to cover the rear deck.

I'll Play

If I had 100,000 lying around I would by this boat:

http://tinyurl.com/4kdj4

and then take the extra 40K and by an F350 to pull it with.

Not saying I wouldn't slip it, because I would, but the F350 and trailer would be convenient. Also, I just want a big truck regardless.

That's a nice rig at a nice price! That one won't last long. My wife would love to have a cabin to get in outta the crap; fog, rain, spray....

capesams 10-03-2004 05:34 AM

It's funny...I can remember the first time those came out..I was at a local boat yard,,,price tag! $7,500.00

fishweewee 10-03-2004 05:57 AM

Take a 100 grand, put it into a relative value trade on the stock market.

Then buy a 40 foot Cabo. :laughs:

And then sell it the week afterwards for half of what I paid for it, after I find out I can't afford the gas bill. :crying:

Hooper 10-03-2004 06:02 AM

Cabo

I have heard the 35 Cabo hull is a dog, but the 31 is a real performer, don't know much of the 40, tho I've seen one up close and :btu: Sure looks sweet...

downpayment on a topaz 32' express.

ProfessorM 08-12-2005 07:11 PM

I wouldn't buy a boat I would just charter the best boats and captains every weekend during the season for the rest of my life. You could probably do that off the interest of a good 100 grand investment and none of the headaches of boat ownership. Paul

Osprey went out of buisness this year, so you would have to look for a used one!
They did make an awesome Volvo diesel inboard with a dual prop out drive!!!

Polar 27 ft CC, Would not change our new boat for the world, we are very impressed with it. If you want a heavy, nice riding center consol, very dry, with twin 225's yamaha's 4 strokes and a fishing machine, :bl: you can't go wrong. Got boat, motors and trailer, with all the goodies for under $100,000. Also has a full size head, Life is good!!!!!!!!!!

Julie,
One improvement if to do if you were to do it again would be to get the f250s instead of the 225s you have and that boat will do between 60 - 65 mpr!!!

Fisherwoman 08-13-2005 09:43 AM

RR, no need to go any faster than 55, the faster you go the more fuel you burn. I like it just were it is!!!!

beamie 08-13-2005 10:28 AM

I don't think there is any need to do anything over 25   Sounds like you guys not only want to catch those footballs but also run them over and show them whos boss :bl:

seabass 08-13-2005 01:50 PM

Jarvis Newman 32, cat diesel w/ dry stack through the house and keel coolers.
Never have to come out of the water that way, and you run fresh instead of salt through the engine. :hihi:

http://www.jarvisnewman.com/i32b.jpg

or a used late 90's N/M 50 (hmmm ex-Snow Leopard) w/ full B&G and 3DL set up for offshore. footballs? hello Azores.

Bass Babe 08-13-2005 07:10 PM

30+' gaff-rigged schooner, wooden hull, all the nav goodies, watermaker, tender, cannon, large poo tank. The best of both worlds -- sailing AND fishing. One day, one day.

gbry 08-15-2005 07:44 AM

Bimini 24 center console with Yanmar diesel.
