For all you guys waiting for NJ to reopen. We'll be back on-line sometime around 11/8. Yes! This stinks but its out of my control.
DSL finally came back with a 17k+ feet from the CO which only gives me 768/128....not something I can use for running web servers. A dedicated T1 or fractional T1 is way TOO expensive! Having the site(s) hosted by other people would be murder. Been there, done that. And I have other sites I host so that would get pricey. Comcast Cable has a business division that has an enhanced package running 5mb/512kb .... still not too good on the upstream but DAMN the downstream is gonna fly!!! Just a side note: I applied for this service on 10/11. Why does it take so long to get stuff done in NJ????? Thanks again....see ya hopefully in just over a week! ;) |

GOOBER :laughs: I heard what you suggested to Tinney. No - its not worth going to some hosting company. I've done that. Its great if you have a small website with simple pages. To run the forum board, product database, shopping cart database, customer logins, SSL....etc.....I would need access to SQL and mySQL. Many hosting companies don't offer both or just one and would charge me an arm and a leg since I have mutliple domain names pointing to NJ. Plus the databases get pretty huge when you include the pics..... |

Yea....... those trainwrecks take up a lot of space.  :smash: Admit it Norb... you are a control freak. |

And you wonder why I refuse to fly...and would rather drive down to a jobsite in Atlanta, GA from NJ! :p |
