On another note I think we need to stop planning trips it seems someone is watching us from above:rolleyes:

Canal ain't much better - water very sandy.

Wind seems to be more ENE than just NE - canal just funnels that wind like a wind tunnel.

I may want to get in on this if possible. I'd love to meet and fish with you guys. Please post final plans when you guys decide on something. I might just show up. I drive a grey jeep wrangler.

BigFish 10-22-2004 02:26 PM

Final decision.....we shall fish Duxbury Bay at sunrise! Bring waders if ya got them, plugs, plugs and more plugs! Travel light as we are gonna do some walking! We shall meet at 5:00 am at Dunkin Donuts in Norwell on Rt 53. Take exit 13 off route 3 and head towards Norwell....come to intersection if route 53 and 123...Dunkin Donuts on right! If interested reply here and I will pm my cell phone number to you in case you get lost! Or call me this evening if you need to talk to me (I may be busy so leave your name and number on my phone answering service):D

We are fishing dammit and 5:00 am is the meeting time....be there no later than 5:15 cause once we coffee up we are leaving! If you are late we will be fishing by the Powder Point Bridge in Duxbury which is right on Duxbury Beach! You can meet us there if late!;)

BigFish 10-22-2004 04:53 PM

Sorry Fred...we are gonna miss you! Backside does not look great so we had to move it.:(

Motor Fish 10-22-2004 07:17 PM

I'll be there. Most likely meet you right at the bridge so don't wait for me at Dunkin.

East or West end of the bridge?

'sallright Bigfish,I hope the crowd grows with the change of location. It would be a shame to travel all the way down here and catch skunk. Good luck all!:D

Good luck at Duxbury, I just got back from Plymouth Harbor and it was completly unfishable. I swear there were gust over 40 mph.

(good thing I saw larry's post before I left)

well, that was a rockin good time for all who showed up.

Started slowly with some hot beverages from dunkins and a quick check of the map. We then split up into two groups and headed to a couple different places.

Were went, the wind was howling and the birds tried to have their way with some of my plugs. In fact, I personally lost two plugs today. :(
One #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& blem snagged on bottom, and my favorite - a yellow 2part poplar bottle type I got from an MSBA'er sailed straight off into the sunrise when the line snapped. I have no idea why as it didnt jam and the bail was still up.

Not a lot of bait was seen by me, heck not a lot of fish either...

In fact, not a lot of s-b.com folks were seen...

Heck, there was only me and one other person, and he came all the way from Worcester!!

Hope he had better luck.

Well a morning fishing is better than most anything else so it was not a total loss.
