Wow TunaCell. the photo of the those teeth are scary. That fish looks like it was spawned from hell.:devil2:

Yeah, they're pretty nasty dudes. I was thinking of bringing those pictures with me next time I go to Hatteras and show them to the charter captain we go with down there. Nothing but mahi mahi, yellowfin, wahoo, and marlins, they would know an ugly fish if you hit them with one. :fishslap:

Here's a picture of a wolf fish skull a friend cleaned up. Note the crusher plate in the back of the throat.

Calamari is bait too. Don't knock it till you try it.
My mother is from Ireland, and eel was a staple in her childhood, dam the river and take whatevers flopping around.

My great grandmother was Austrian/German ate eel on an occasion. Then again her and my grandmother are also fans of cow tounge, blood pudding, and liver
go figure

Someone gave me some cow tongue last year. Again, so tender and tasted good but looking at those taste bud bumps made me want to hurl.

I remember some years back (35 or so) seeing my mothers aunt cooking one up to feed her husband. Seeing the chunks hopping around in the pan made me not want to ever eat one.:yak:

When I was in my early 20s they used to say " don't take Mac ice fishing eith ya. He'll eat all the bait." Needless to say that was back in my drinkin days. eat one live shiner and look what happens:rolleyes: :laughs:

I got that beat. A charter captain told me years ago they caught a pretty nice marlin. The party was estatic that they caught this fanominal fish. Well, once the fish was in the boat it upchucked a crap load of freshly eaten shrimp. Well the captain's mate, known to be a little odd, gets this weird look in his eye. He walks up to the pile of shrimp, looks at the party, picks up a shrimp, and EATS IT! That my friend, in my oppinion, is far worse than eating a shiner.
