The end

Brain scans have shown that Gil is brain dead. The family has not made the final move as they are waiting for a granson (in the Air Force) enroute from Iraq. I believe he arrives today. They would like him to say his goodbys to his grandfather.
For those of you who would like to pay last respects, I will post when I know the details.

Prayers and thoughts go out to him and his family

I am sorry to hear the sad news, being fairly new to the fishing community here in RI I do not know him but we will keep him and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

I lost my dad in October (age 55) he was young and I know it is very tough thing to go through no matter what the age or circumstances.

Thanks to everyone for their prayers for Gil. He passed on last night. Arrangements are incomplete.
Those of you who knew him will always remember him as one of the great stripermen of our time. he fished with Jerry S, Hal, Frank Woolner and a lot of just regular Striper men. he was a regular guy who forgot more about catching 50s than most of us will ever learn.

Piemma, So sorry to hear the sad news but hopefully now he will be at rest in a much better place. Our Prayers go out to you and his family.
