hey larry

think:  concrete slab for the shop.... and once you have the building permit

you can throw a S-B BBQ "shop building party" and get it all done in a single

weekend instead of bit by bit in between fishin and work ...or next year.

then you'll have a better place to do all of your plug painting instead of in the

cellar. hmmm ..... just an Idea.... big guy.

more power to ya.....

is to plant ivy after you put down a open mesh fabric landscaper cloth.

then you can have flower beds and all that...

you can still have a small lawn somewhere that takes only a few minutes to cut

thats the only real way to not become a lawn slave.:lasso:

spence 08-01-2005 11:49 AM

We've cut a lot of grass out and built raised planting beds. Takes effort and some money up front, but the result is blooms all season long with very little time to maintain. Mulch it in the spring and weed as necessary.

A little grass is nice, but the big lawn is overrated.

BigFish 08-01-2005 11:55 AM

I agree Spence....sun burnt and short is how I like my lawn! :laughs:

S-Journey 08-01-2005 12:35 PM

If that the case then I can share my Lawn Care techniques with you. That's how I keep mine...:D

BigFish 08-01-2005 01:01 PM

Technique #1....Neglect the lawn.

Technique #2....Repeat technique #1. :jester:

BigBo 08-01-2005 01:30 PM

Nope. Step one is to cut it as short as possible. Speeds up the fruitful rewards of a burnt lawn. :rotfl:

fishweewee 08-02-2005 09:47 AM
