After a trip tp the Mayan Riviera in Mexico this April, I have become infatuated with Sol beer. A little hard to find, but each one brings back memories of a great trip.

Also hard to find, but great in the winter - Wexford's Irish Cream Ale.

Otherwise I like Michelob.

Clammer 08-08-2005 10:25 PM

It's not beer, but mead is awesome.

Tops in my book is Yuengling -- glass bottle, there's no other way. For stuff I can get around here, Sam Adams Cherry Wheat is good.

Guinness draught :gu:
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale :buds:

either as a black and tan or by themselves

if it's hot & humid, Becks or Corona

BasicPatrick 08-09-2005 02:13 PM

I have about 4 or 5 bottles of some homemade Mead, I think Peach and Blackberry, thats been sitting for about 2 years aging......good stuff and it will put you on the floor.

Drank a whole bottle one night and swore I was on a Quest for the Holy Grail

Been a while, but, my favorite when I indulged was "Free and Cold", could not b e beat.
also, will someone please post a picture of a "30 pack of Corona" ;) I can't find one in the beverage journal. Corona... sell a ton of it, now, I still drank when we first got it in years ago, tried it, kinda like making love in a canoe... I still can't understand Corona sales...

Then make it a half of guiness. Oh Jameson and Baileys together. :gu:

Saltheart 08-10-2005 12:14 PM

If you go to a fruit meade , its so easy to make i would say its hard to screw up. Cranberry Meade is almost fool proof and tastes like a white zinfandel wine. If you are clever about when to bottle it , it will become mildly sparkling too.

spence 08-10-2005 12:27 PM

I made a mead once that was over 17% - wowza it packed a punch :gu:

fishsmith 08-10-2005 01:39 PM

ThrowingTimber 08-10-2005 03:24 PM

Hooper 08-10-2005 03:37 PM

The best beer is cold, free and plentiful. :uhuh:

ThrowingTimber 08-10-2005 03:50 PM

I dunno but once you're in the "Frank the Tank" mode nothing beats a keg stand :hidin:

Bass Nut 08-10-2005 04:09 PM

Ice freakin' cold Heineken.

Other than that it's Guinness for me.

Swimmer 08-11-2005 11:18 AM

beer

I am absolutley amazed that no one, no one at all, has said blooberry beer!

And if their is no blooberry available, ice cold and I do mean ice cold miller-lite being served by the polish twins that sells coor's.

capecodder 08-12-2005 08:16 AM

1. Guiness on tap or can
2. Harpoon IPA
3. Stella Artois
4. Anything else available

likwid 08-12-2005 12:16 PM
