So I heard this at the hardware store this morning. Put a little bit of anti-freeze in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket. The mice are attracted to the anti-freeze and will climb into the bucket. End of story.....and mice

end of dog or cat too if it gets into it.

Had the same problem a few months ago. Put out 4 traps.....all licked clean the next day. Baited twice the next day...licked clean. Could hear them running wild upstairs while in bed......traps licked clean again. Finally after some adjustments to the traps, I finally got the bastids.

I would not recommend doing the anti-freeze gig anywhere that kids, dogs or cats could get at it. My problem happens to be in the attic when my cats and dogs can't get to.
