Ditto - and when Indy comes to Foxboro next year, I will cheer Adam. If Vanderchoke suits up in a Flying Elvis, I might puke...

BTW - Anyone here Mikey Adams' simulated Peyton Manning Endorsement spots last night :laughs: ? Sorry Adam, you will be taking a step down from "It's Good" at Papa Gino's and trading that in for "It's Good" for Indy Club Cadet Tractor and Combine Accesories distributors

Don't blame management for this one. Adams choice to leave. If he didn't like the offer then he looked elsewhere, good for him.

He will always be known as a legend here and will not be boooooed next year. Ray Bourque went to Coloraso for a ring and is still a hero. Pudge Fisk went to the White Sox and is still a hero. Bobby Orr went to the Blackhawks and is still a superhero.

Get used to this....the day will come when Brady is wearing another jersey too.

You're right on the money, Beamie. Adam is the all time high scorer for the Pats, that elevates him to Olympian God status in New England. Personally I'd like to thank him for a job fantasticly done. Three Superbowls from the toe.

I'm curious as to what the difference in the offers was.

If it's a case like Damon's ($13M vs $10M), you cant blame him for leaving. If it's a small difference, then it's the Pats fault for not matching it. If they never gave the Pats a chance to match, Pizza Boy wanted out of Foxboro.

It is interesting. Adam has not had a smooth contract session with the Pats other than his first, right? Ever since it has bee some kind of arbitration/transition tag/franchise tag - maybe he just got sick of that too,,,

Saw him on TV this a.m. and he seemed very happy to leave:confused:

both sides did themselves right. just thank god we did'nt end up with vanderjerk!

Raven 03-23-2006 07:53 PM

when management

only considers money to be the most important issue....

then you cannot blame players for doing the same thing.

lately it's like abandon ship....

afterhours 03-23-2006 08:10 PM

no loyality either way. gotta face the facts- it's a cold hard bussiness, not the game of our youth. since it's that way, who better to run the ship than bill and scott? they know what they're doing- have faith.
