thanks NIB :claps:

that is my point... that everyone's missing... we are all connected
in the energy spectrum...you doubt it!, but someday it'll hit you like a ton of bricks...and then you'll be in denial...not believing it could be real or true..........................................
wishing it wasn't, wondering if it's only a dream. I can call you on your brain cb radio ------>just like tuning into an fm station....

that being said.... what your thinking has an effect on material objects....i refer to it as vibes....you call it MOJO..... same thing...
houses, cars, boats, rods and plugs all can absorb this energy that
can affect how they work.... like for example when the Clammer
picks up a plug he thinks or says ...you bettah not catch a bluefish ya bastage.... and the plug hear's that and cops an attitude see...
and then ya got a "pouty plug" that wasn't praised....it was bad-mouthed right from the get go....and it' says: ok, just for that i will catch a blue fish....all pissy like ... :D
~
so when your building them, in other words you can instill MOJO....into them....
it's not 100% mechanics and the finish and hardware placement....
there's a part of what you believe that also enters the plug.
i am being completely serious. :uhuh:

Earth to raven...earth to raven....please change the brand of berry juice your drinking....that is all.

I'll go so far as to say..yes put your best into your plug building..but good lord man..........what's next vodoo...injuin trible dance...wholy water.. YA! that's it..let's hire a pope an have blessing of the plug's like they do in PT. for the boats.:rotfl: Believe what you may,,but it's only a peice of wood an metal and put together halfway right they still work.

The wise one has spoken.:btu:

Hi Capesams!

Sheetza! I consider myself lucky if the paint holds on after a dunking or two. Grains? Roll? Hydro test? If'n I get that bad I will stop making them. Ain't no plug you can't make swim with a simple weight here and there and the right hook size. I look for symetry and balance by eye and almost always they swim perty good.

Just can't keep that finish on for long, specially when them critters chews on 'em fer a while. :jump:

Raven 08-03-2006 12:25 PM

and i was gonna say

:eek:that Capesam's knew what i was talking about....
having so many boats and years of experience i thought
he above all else would get it... oh well... :bo:

and....it's not berry juice...
its a carefully blended combination of
water, hops, barley, and yeast
fermented with best of care
and then bottled gently
with love... :jump:

conversely....
and i've read many articles on this subject...
sometimes a plug with give off a particular
wiggle...that sends the message...
i'm alive but injured or wounded
very imperceptively..... and it's not
necessarilly visable to the
human eye....but to the
fish it's easily recognized.

those are the plugs that
have that little something extra
that become prized possesions.

Ya Rav, i can see that, each has to build their plug, with whatever method they use, so in their mind they have the confidence in it to feel it

will catch fish it. If ya don't have confidence in it ya won't fish it.

Now buildin up the confidence thing in the plug with the "I'm ok your ok" theory, that's a different story. :hihi:

Mr. T.....see I got this little problem..growin up workin for these old time builder's that instilled in me [more like brainwashed] that prefection was everything and no matter how hard I try to say f*** it good enough their memories come back to haunt me,,thats why one shoulder sits low than the other..their always sitting there watching ready to bounce the moment I think a [good enough],,but it's not to say all my stuff works just cause it looks nice. There's many degree's of quality from o-100.......like some of my best catchin jig's have only 3 hair's left on it...go figure?....I.ve seen stuff guy's have done and used in the surf that you'd die laughing if you saw it...they still caught fish.....so it's up to the person as to how far one needs to go when making something, not the people on this board or any other for that matter....if it makes YOU feel good to do it one way by god make it so...you have no one else to please but yourself.

ps...I did do it wet once but I figured dry was doing an ok job too.
