This solves the whole t-shirt debate. Just screen this pic on a t-shirt with the s-b logo. A picture says a 1000 words.....

What kind of hooks do you use for live bunker fishing? Trebles seem to catch better, but there are gut hooked fish. Circles work ok, but the hook ups go way down.

2/0 Mustad trebles...3X Strong...dont let them run to long and no gut hook problems. I have had my best luck with the 2/0 right in the bunkers nose saddle

slapshot 10-18-2006 11:26 AM

Thanks, will try that size and shorter runs. We are inundated with bluefish where I fish. I have lost quite a bit of hooks, bank sinkers when 3-waying and even some swivels.

Find bunker no fish. I wish we had that kind of action on Cape. I found a large school of pogies in a southern cape area Monday in my tin boat, snagged 20 or so let them swim while I kept at it nothing driving them. Then I proceeded to drive around for 4 hours looking for something to feed them to. Nutin not a damn fish harrasing them or anything in other places. Shame to have all that bait and no fish to eat them. Just chucked them in the ocean and went home. I will try again Fri. Paul

We got the 10 blues to 1 bass where I am. If you go far enough up the rivers you can get away from the blues, but the bass aren't concentrated. I never thought I would see giant schools of bunker all the time and yet very ( well, relatively) few bass on them.

WOW- you guys have that fishery pegged!

S-B new home page photo.

The photo depicts the sanity or lack of, perfectly of anyone so obsessed w/striped bass to spend so many hours on S-b.com.

Excellent photo/depiction of striper nuts.

You guys ROCK!

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Poppi pees on the couch.

You could also do a Tide commercial about cleaning the clothes.

Very funny stuff.

Did the slime on your pants come from the fish or from you? :fishslap:

ProfessorM 10-22-2006 04:47 PM

Find Bunker Instant Bass. Well I shot down that theory, again. Live lined pogies all day log and got nutin. I just followed the school around all day and not a damn thing was bothering them again. Another case of should have been there yesterday.:wall:
