I always looked forward to your reports. I hope the new guard is as knowledgable as you.

That's a tough thing to write unless you are an avid boat, shore and freshwater fisherman.

If you don't do a particular style of fishing it's impossible to write with any kind of authority - I did the Rhody one for a couple years and it was a monthly struggle to do the boat and freshwater paragraphs. I don't miss it.

Thanks for the memory's. Good luck.

I will miss your articles/writing Flaptail.

Although I do not fish the Cape I enjoyed your monthly report very much. I look forward to the feature articles.

Good Luck Steve,
I think the number of people who mention here that they still read your monthly article even though they don't fish the Cape is testimony to your writing skills, knowledge and the thorough research you always bring to the magazine. :claps: If you have more time now for the feature articles that makes it all even more worthwhile. I'm looking forward to your next article of a man whom I think many of us may have heard and can't wait to read the story.

Best wishes on the new trail,
Ed

Karl, the Senior Angler has contacted me and I will be back to him today, thanks so much. Fishing is very very good up this away right now. Hope it is down your way too.

It's a tale of a famous old time surfman who is my hero and who knew the beach more intimately than any other I know, someone who was driven to fish and who was an eccentric who savored star lit skies, the open beach and fished mostly alone and set a standard that all who came after him and tried to emulate him could never achieve. He was the best at what he did and set the bar that no one has since been able to achieve. A cold winter nights read that hopefully will draw you back to the place you love so well and will set the dreams of all of us who love it so much as we settle in for that "long winter's nap".

...sounds good already! :bl:
