1962 Chevy Corvair Greenbriar Van ,,,lived in it a month on construction site in Hollywood Fla.

1994 Ford Areostar Extended Van . Started everyday , great camping/fishing vehicle. never stuck in the snow.. used hardly any gas .. could spin the rear tire all the way down the street . never broke down .. didn't rust. could fit all my gear (11' 1 pc. rod) 2 bikes inside.. Traded it in with 174,000 on it and running like a clock .

all I'll say about the 69 Road Runner is ,,shouldn't be alive .

Same sentiments here Tagger. I had a '69 Road Runner as well. My old man predicted I'd kill myself in that car. He was almost right.:err:

46 Ford Coupe, full house, American racing color. :hihi:

I have owned some nice ones, ..no one favorite really...
had a 64 Tempest set up as a GTO clone in HS, thing would fly, and lucky to have lived through it.. had a 79 K10 with a stroker motor and all the goodies and 10 coats of hand rubbed black laquer, was a real Go and Show.. my 85 F250 ex cab.. punched out 460 with all the fixins... runner and a worker..
I think tho, I'd really like my 74 Bronco back, if I could.. had a decade of the beaches... was one of the ones that made the "last run" from CG in Eastham all the way to the "end" in P-town.. before they closed off the access.. just after the blizzard in 78

I'd love to own a 40's Ford Coupe someday.. all done up..

guess I want JPI's car :D :kewl:

Slip in an MG... u musta looked like one of them shriner guys in them little parade cars :)

RickBomba 12-22-2006 01:32 AM

Strangely enough I love the car I have right now more than anything.
Sounds lame, but I love Jugs!
Later,
Rick

74 Nova 350 2 door. I went through more rear tires in that car :)
Also parents 31 Chevy Indenpendece Sedan, I am still angry they got rid of it.

I agree. This USA made truck is awesome. Horsepower and torque galore. Plenty of room for 3 carseats across the back. I have sat back there (minus the car seats, of course) and it has enough leg room to cross my legs.

Choice 1A: My first. The 68 Olds Cutlass S w/ a 350. Bought for $300, drove 7 years, sold for $300.

'86 VW Golf Diesel
Couldn't be any slower but couldn't be broken either. Father passed it to me, first car. 236k miles was a hardtail when I junked it, water seeped into both rear shocks and froze:bounce:

I had the Buick version of the Nova--I think they called it the Apollo. Also had a 350 2 bbl. I never tried to lay rubber with it, tho ;)

Just out of high school I had a 79 F150, 351 with headers to thrush mufflers, dual tanks, 6" lift kit, 38" #^&#^&#^&#^& Cepek tires, roll bar, lights ... the whole 9 yards, man I wish I kept that truck.

I picked it up at the auto auctions when it was just a little over a year old for $1800. It was an insurance total but my friends uncle had a body shop in Brockton back then. He straightened the frame and did all the body work for another grand. That thing was a beast.

"69" vette, factory side pipes, hard top/rag top, 427/390 hp...............:musc:

My current. 98 Tacoma reg. cab no power windows no power locks etc. . 145,000 miles. As "Plain Jane" as it gets. Only luxury it has is A.C. and it actually works (first vehicle I have even owned with working A.C.!!!) 4 Cyl & 4WD. I bought it at the end of summer in 95. The goal is to drive to 200,000 miles or death. Same goal I had with my Corolla which I sold at 204,000 and word has it she's still on the road now....a year and a half later.

They are still available

My 72 chevelle with a 454. It is awaiting funding for body and paint. What's nice is that I get to drive it year round down here. Until 3 years ago it was my daily driver.

Swimmer 12-23-2006 11:22 AM

"59" Willys

I did over a 1959 Willys and put a 350 in it and jacked up the motor. Never changed the steering box so I never drove it. Sold the engine for good money and the jeep itself for pretty good money. I think I would have killed myself in it. Tooling around the yard and the street with a repair plate on it was a wild experience.

Manual tranny? I'd set my goal a little higher. 4 cyl Tacos never die.

yup, manual. I set it at 200,000 OR until it dies (which I am sure will be more). I figure at 200,000 I will be getting MORE than my money's worth and will be happy with that!:hihi: :p

1967 cougar , it took me 2 years to restore this car , won several awards , had to sell due to devorce:wall:

1st for me would be the '76 Vette I had then the '74 IROC, both gone now but boy were they fun!

I do still have a 1991 Camaro RS in great conditon, fully loaded, t-tops, ground effects and the underside of the car lights up, I can change the colors (7) and make them flash side to side or rotate different ways.

I bought the car for my dog, he's gone now 2 years but kept the car anyways, fun to drive on the weekends though.

Bass Babe 12-27-2006 11:19 AM

1991 Pontiac Sunbird convertible. Bright blue. White leather interior. Sweet ride for a 16 year old. Lasted 3 weeks until some drunk dude buttpacked me in front of my house. I pried his dented door open and screamed so that the neighbors thought someone had hit an animal and not fully killed it. My mom was out of town on vacation...I don't think she's gone anywhere since. My dad never said anything to the police about the guy being drunk. He told me that about 5 years later. :af:

Nebe 12-27-2006 12:02 PM

bassbabe, your dad probably bit his lip because it happened right in front of your house and the guy knew where you lived.
