To cut back on my fishing. It is taking up too much of my time. My goal is to cut back to no more than 4X per week. It will be difficult but with the help of my family and friends I might just make it.

I need another egg nog :gu:

bart 12-31-2006 05:45 PM

Rob, hope your knee treats you well in '07 as well and ditto on the wetsuit.

40#'s and a 30# on a pencil

ProfessorM 12-31-2006 07:52 PM

Relax and stop more often and smell the roses when I am out there. Enjoy the fishing as much as the catching.

riverrat2 12-31-2006 09:16 PM

Fish harder

reelecstasy 12-31-2006 09:53 PM

Fish some local spots more and smarter...

Hey Davey, you weren't sheetin' me man..............

Love this site, dudes. Some good stuff goin on! I especially like the links~ SWE, CCT, NJTCo, Tatoo's, AHrs Plugs, the Links line above~ all goooood stuff :claps: :claps: Kudos, kudos indeed!

So, to the thread at hand. Though somewhat far-reaching, isn't that what makes them goals/resolutions worth aspiring to and achievements worthy of our resolve?

Catch and release a keepah in NH, MA, & RI within a 24 hour period
for what I'll call the Trifecta Slam.

Catch and release a Sally, a Larry, and a Rocky within a 24 hour period
for what I'll call the Sweet & Salty Slam.

Land, pic, and release safely my first trophy/ies surf caught stripeys.
Plug more and learn how to plug more effectively.
Pay closer attention to the water, really and truly READ the water more closely and more accurately.

Beat AJ, RHM, and any other hungries challengers to our first 40#'s, 50#'s and bigger by participating in and winning the inaugural
Greater New England Surf Striper Challenge,
"The Race to 40# and Beyond" Invitational
Contest rules to follow..................

Above all, teach my 4yr old daughter how to fish and put her on her first schoolie/keeper this year from tha soif. She's been asking for two years if she could "go feeshin' with Daddy." :hf1: Sounds like lots a trips to PI this season, perhaps we'll take the 5th in Gannsee as well.

Most certainly hang and bang the surf more frequently wit the fellow suds freaks that i've had the extreme honor and privelege to chat, cast, and chase our elusive prey all too briefly with last year.
Oh yeah, lest we forget..............remove Monsieur LaPorte from his lofty SOL perch of this past season.
Zee PLUGS shall be MIIIIIINE!!! :bl: :bl: MIIIIIIIIINE all MINE!!

Cheers mates, a safe and blessed New Year to everyone.

Catch lots of big fish - break 40+ from the surf on plugs ... also fish more bait ... and fish some spots I've been wanting to hit, but never got around to, while still keeping the family happy ... Oh and have the right amount of $$ so I can just fish when ever and where ever I want while still keeping family well fed and clothed ...

BrianBM 01-01-2007 09:31 PM

A 10+ lb. bluefish on the fly in the wash, a 20 lb striper on the fly in the wash, and after that ........... some big fish on the fly. And a PILE of little tunny and bonito, preferably from the wash .... but for them I'll spend the price of a charter. Heh heh heh.

t.orlando 01-01-2007 09:55 PM

Forgot.............a 30#Bluefish

MarshCappa 01-02-2007 09:58 AM

New for the upcoming season for me is a 21' Larson Sportcrusier. So needless to say I'll be putting in some time on that in search of large. With that said I never want to loose touch with the surf and will vow to do some rock hopping. I learned a ton last season and hopefully that will translate into a good boating and surfcasting season.

bttfish 01-02-2007 10:48 AM

definietly more fishing, smarter fishing, and fish more location and type of fish....Will try Squid fishing for the first time this year...
want to catch more Togs this year...

PI guy 01-02-2007 09:11 PM

I want the Block to really show me what it's famous for! :bounce: :uhoh: :faga:

Flaptail 01-02-2007 09:29 PM

Get off Crack:scatter: , ween myself from the S&M Bondage latex thing :lasso: , just don't look good in leather and latex at my age. Also I might try to spend at least three days a week sober, since I started this new program with the help of my mentor:call: at the Samaritans I haven't had the urge to beat my wife :whackin: much lately either.

Now what will really make the year would be if I pass the paternity DNA test with the Latvian chick at the cafeteria, it can't be mine, I was on vacation those two weeks.:heybaby:
