I like monster eels for the canal, they seem to get down quicker. When fishing the beach or rocks I like medium-larges. Somewhere around 12-16"

medium/smalls but with a little girth.12 inch

A well know surfcaster that has a 60 under his belt caught a 40 last year on an eel that literally looked like a pencil....so i think whatever you feel comfortable throwing and what your rod can handle

Same here 16" TO 18". Deformed face eels work the best. :btu:
