Reelecstasy, I like your clean even lines, nice work dude. A little criticism 4 u. Imo, I would try to build up your wraps a little more so that you see less under wrap, about 50-50 fills it in nicely. Also, I like either a light or dark under wrap, when you use a color that is neither its harder make your wraps stand out, they kinda clash against each other. Again, awsome work!

I am no where near you guys so I more than welcome critisism, I just started this winter, those are my first 4 rods. I have only done about 20 or so. That's what we are here for, to learn, everyday is a school day. Thanks any and all help appreciated!

I've been likin' no underwrap at all lately. Give it a try..

No worries about the wrap sliding while you are doing the wrap? I was wondering about that?

Shweet, I have a 1201m I was starting, I will try it on that...

Diggin Jiggin 02-21-2007 12:39 PM

I like trying to figure out the order of the thread in these patterns. Very inspiring but my head hurts now...

Looks sweet Dave, is the black 2 layers on the guide feet?
I have been doing that on the first guide.

Yup, I always do 2 layers on the feat, usually size A thread.

With the underwrap, I'll post a How To next time I do one with pix if you want.

pbadad 02-23-2007 10:32 PM

That would be great. I'll be looking for it.

Did up a set of diamonds under the collector 50 guide on a 1201M yesterday. Spent 3 freakin hours on it from start to finish between measuring, re-measuring, grabbing a beer, and grabbing another beer. Hoping to get around to finishing the whole rod this week some time. Will put up pics once she is done. Matches the black and silver diamonds I posted earlier.
