I'm past halfway and still enjoying greatly enjoying and learning from this book. In fact, this book will be one of the "research" books I break out just before and during the season to get me pumped and thinking when I go plugging. I should say that I would be done by now other than that I am sharing my reading timeslice with "The World is Flat". You are in good author company Zeno :tooth: And as a note from S-B, I should say that this book is available from OUR sponsors; Surfcasting Rhode Island, Saltwater Edge, and based on Zeno's latest post M&Ds/CapeCodTackle.com |

Am about half way through, and I'm enjoying Zeno's writing style and the information therein. The book definitely has a place in my reference library, and I'm reading through it as fast as my time allows!
A lot of effort has evidently gone into this book, and I for one appreciate it greatly. :btu: That said, I would strongly recommend Zeno to have some proof reading done on this book for any subsequent editions. The spellchecking is fine, but there are a LOT of wrong words in the book - e.g. 'Van Stall' 'trashed' instead of 'thrashed' 'posses' instead of 'possess' 'Marching the hatch' Please take the above constructively; this is definitely the sprit in which it is meant. Just my 2c. Cheers. |
Thank you for your honesty.
Unfortunately ,skipping those "English as a second language" classes at night school was definitely a wrong way to go.:o But I am proud to say that no "professionals" were used in creating this book:bshake:.The cover was paid for in plugs and was all the art work and proofreading and editing was done on "don't ask ,don't tell policy" by a club members:cheers:.Of course ,the publishing and printing was done by me ,a construction worker who types with one finger and can:ot pronounce "consequently" All kidding aside ,although all these statements are true we did try to eliminate all the misspelling and use or wrong words (they call this phenomenon , "Zenoisam" in my club) And yes ,I am working on corrections as we speak.Do to my (again) incompetence and lack of vision I have to go back to printer as we speak.Who would of thought so many of you would actually read what I scribble? For that I am eternally grateful . I am trilled that so many have found it useful and some of you even found it entreating. How can you not laugh when you read about 250 lb klutz shedding his gear in the ditch as he is running thru the marshes getting eaten alive by mosquitoes ? Ah memories............ On the serious not ,Wildwood got more books as they ran out as did Powderhorn,CMS has them and Red Top too. Now let me rest my index finger.....its sore:wall: |
By monday I will start reading it for the second time.I find that reading things over a couple times makes it stick alot better.BTW Zeno Awesome book.

The Worls is Flat.... read it in grad school and lived the UPS model for many years. Good read, interesting, but long and at times dry. |
got one for myself and my brother
Thanks for a great read. There is a wealth of knowledge. I can't wait to put it to use.
