Lemee get this straight. This Tom Meade guy, who pens for the ProJo, just takes anybody at their word without researching the voracity of their BULLSHEET !??!

Or is he just as clueless about surfcasting as he sounds in the soundbyte? What a FUNNY piece of work that article is; while the audio speaks volumes in and of itself ~if i may paraphrase a bit,
".......and he just comes up out of the water to smash my own 'spook-slider-pencil-floater lure'" :smash::smash:
Fogeddah bout the part about how stripers can see a shock leader at night, ROFL!!!
Guess WE'VE all been doing this wrong and that explains why he lands hundreds of keepers/schoolies???

Once again, RHM/OCM, is truly a LEGEND in his own "mind". Even skeerier is the fact that Mike actually believes his own press/lies :wall: :spin:  :spin: :wall:.

Mike this is a great thing for you if you want your name to be known, however YOU have destroyed all of your credibility with exaggerations, showboating online, not to mention the fact that you were busted cheating in a contest for plugs..

No matter what you do from now on, everything will be questioned. Every fish you catch and post pictures will will be questioned and every report you post will be questioned and you have only yourself to blame.

#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& is 110% right. start weighing stuff on certified scales and do stuff legitimately otherwise no one is going to take you seriously.

What else can you say?

But like an old wise man once said, Mr. John Haberek... "any press is good press Davey"

I think some people need to take the foot off the gas a little.

RHM/OCM/SFM - I'm not keenly aware of your history "over there" but the few instances I've seen here follow the same theme of fish that appear smaller (lots) than the claim. That is the reputation that someone like me, who knows little about you, quickly gets from others and from what little I see on your posts. And unless you're 7 feet tall, that fish ain't 40.

My honest and sincere recommendation to you is that you need to back up your statements with a little more than statements. Whether right or wrong, you are on the short end of the credibility stick and you need to calmly and coolly rectify that. That does not mean to weigh in every keeper you catch as that would be wasteful, but the few that you do keep, you might want to have slips on that are entered into an annual tournament or something. Pictures you take (at least a few I've seen) look horribly measured if not intentionally distorting.

I see some people are less than enamored with you, personally I don't have a dog in this fight. Just giving some simple and I think honest advice.

i dont think its so much as saying fish are bigger than actually are, as i think the bigger issue is entering a fish into a fun contest, that you didnt even catch.

WadingWill 01-25-2008 09:28 AM

The part that gets me is, for him to be saying these things and posting these pics, he must think we're all dumb, or maybe he's one of those guys that believes his own lies. I'm starting to think it's the latter. Mike you're a pathological liar and you need some help.

Skitterpop 01-25-2008 09:49 AM

I apologize to S-B.Com and its members

I should`nt have posted that.... should know better no excuses or reasons.

Sincerely,
Mike

Sometimes you can lose your sense in the surf. Too many late nights in a row. I thought this was a 40 too. I'd be lucky if it went 15. The face tells the story.
