i use a 9ft rod and get great action. it can get tiring working the slug, especially with a 704 as your reel, but its usually worth the effort. Loomis 1084, allstar 1088, and that factory breakaway you sold me a couple yrs ago(that was my favorite slug-go stick) all work well. i like to hold the rod just above the reel seat and rest the butt against my forearm. this shortens up the length of the rod and gives you good leverage on the hook-set.

where i fish, the slug-go is really the only artificial that I am confident would entice a slob if i didn't have eels.

Cheferson was rigging them and selling in the Classifieds here at a very fair price.

After a bluefish chops through the three pack of 12", you can take whats left and with some glue make a 9".

That seems much more reasonable - hope you do well.

I will have them availsble at our sale at the prices quoted.

seems this stirred up a few people I was asked to pull the link and up the price from more than one source.

Not me. The whole rigged Sluggo craze is sooo 2004....

Just another expensive fad I guessed I missed! Oh, well!

When they come out with bulk- bags of unrigged 12" Sluggos at a near- reasonable price... & keep their stinkin' funny- butt bent- shank hooks & packaging to themselves!...

Maybe then I'll start seriously experimenting with & rigging them... & throwing them!... in place of my pet (Bluefish- proof) Woods! :uhuh: (& S.S. plastic! :smokin: )
