Depends on the film. Gladiator with Russel Crow was most excellent, regardless of its historical accuracy.

You're right about the balsamic vinegar. My wife makes a fresh baby spinach and strawberry salad with balsamic vinegar that is outstanding in the summer. It may have poppy seeds as well, but I'm not sure.

You think I'm a rookie?

For the record, as I'm on a diet, tonight I seared some lean beef tenderloin drizzled with a bit of 30 year aceto balsamico tradizionale...

Yea, the good stuff :humpty:

Makes me want to plant more strawberries!

:conf: OK, OK so if they call an orange an orange, right, then why don't they call a banana a yellow? Just axin'.....:lama: :nopain:

Because banana's turn from green to yello as they ripen. This in many South African tribal dialects is called the "ban-yah". The word was brought back by Spanish explorers to mainland Europe and then modified to fit the English tongue.

Dear Spence,
My wife says she's not going to cook or shop until I re-do the bathroom, like I promised her. It's been two days, and I'm getting hungry!!! What can I do, short of fixing the bathroom?
" Hungry from Boston" :err:

You're the man right? Go pick up a pizza, a six pack, a ruler, a few pencils and some drafting paper.

With a nice buzz and a piece of pepperoni stuck to the side of your mouth, tell her have to plan the bathroom remodeling project first. They always hate this.

Given the 3-1-1 liquid policy now enforced by the TSA, you will have to check the liquid in your regular bagage.

Considering the chances of a rupture at altitute, and that this would destroy anything in the bag along with potentially the bags around yours I'd avoid the risk.

Spend 15 bucks to UPS the bunker oil to your hotel. Just make sure to tell her to check out the beach when you're checking in.

Wife. Got that's got to hurt you to have to say it.

RIROCKHOUND 03-08-2008 10:13 AM

One step ahead Spence.
The quart is inside three ziploc bags, and will be further sealed in heavier food saver bag before packing (in check of course.)

Can't UPS to this spot (out-islands of the Bahamas), too expensive and I would be home before it got there.

spence 03-08-2008 10:24 AM

Unless it's already in a stout bottle, I'd consider purchasing something that's crush proof. I don't know about you but the thought of a leak, any leak would just...oh, the humanity.

Also, I'd pack it in an easy to get to location. An odd bottle of thick liquid packaged in a strange manner might be suspect.

Which walk-in store has some of the more obscure ingrediants not often found at Stop & Shop? Produce, spices, meats, etc. Needs to be within 45 mins of me.

No clue as I only come down your way to go the the TJMaxx up the road :point:

Are you looking for anything specific? I've found when I buy wierd food items they tend to sit on the shelf until they expire.

That being said, most gourmet shops don't sell anything really that crazy. If you want obscure find a good Asian grocer.
