Catching a 47 pound bass
early in the season
on a plug
and knowing the person who makes the plug
priceless

SAUERKRAUT 05-16-2008 12:31 AM

No picture, unfortunately. As the season gets going, I'm always set up with a time delay "system" I worked out. But I quite frankly wasn't expecting this fish this early and I didn't bring it along.

Certainly wasn't worth killing it for a pic either!

LOL. The guy is one of you effing eel fisherman. You know the first thought he had when he landed that fish was "CRAP! If I'd been using an eel I could have gotten a bigger one". :crying:

PaulS 05-16-2008 06:48 AM

Nice catch.

A great marketing line would be "guaranteed to catch a 47 pounder". If anyone tries to return, just say you need to give it more time.

Bronko 05-16-2008 08:02 AM

Nice work. Great Fish!:bounce:

cow tamer 05-16-2008 08:53 AM

How's about a photo of the plug?

zimmy 05-16-2008 11:05 AM

way to go

Brine 05-16-2008 11:37 AM

A fish like that is a trophy.

From shore, and on a plug!

WOW, It really doesn't get better than that.

Nice job guys.

Top plug is what he used, shown with a BM large Danny for scale. His plug, however, uses a midslot Lefty lip, unlike the one pictured. Nothing magical about the plug. I'm sure the fish would have nailed the ancient plastic white A 40 he usually uses instead.

ProfessorM 05-16-2008 06:56 PM

You gave me one, basically same color. Guess i will have to use it.

RoyL 05-16-2008 07:00 PM

wow...congrats to Both

If nothing "magical", then maybe its the talent on the other end of the line??

He could have used an eel and saved a tree too...

Awesome..
Numbskull is no dummy when it comes to making plugs.
He is a hard worker, diligent in finding out what makes certain plugs tick. His insight is of great value when he shares.I read all his post's on the matter with great attention. It can be humbling to find out how much I actually know about plugs. The real nice fish SK caught is just more proof..
Nice Job..
