Here's my fish. Sunday AM I took a nice fish that went about 28#. As I sometimes do, I took the fish home for the crew at work. Our new executive chef was fired up about the fish. This afternoon as I was doing my rounds he popped into my office and left this for me. All I can say is WOW.

Rockport24 06-12-2008 03:13 PM

Heres my big catch from last week. This one was 49" 40lbs. That was a long bike ride back to the truck.. I also picked a 46" 34lbs and piles of fish between 20-30lbs. Great week. Finally recovering this week on sleep.

Great catch. Only a handful of confirmed 40's taken last week even with all the good fish that were around. Nice going.

Gunpowder 06-13-2008 06:21 AM

Nice productive fishing you where one of the few who had confirmed forty's,great job you must be stoaked!

BTW what team did you weigh them in for....If any.

Bob

pmbrac 06-13-2008 03:43 PM

I did not weigh them in for any team unfortunately. Last year on the same set of tides, June 2nd, I landed a 47" 40 lber on a yellow polaris popper. This year, June 4th, I landed this big girl on a mackeral pencil popper. Its been an amazing two years for me to land 2 40lber in the Canal on top water. I wasn't expecting to do it again. I must have got lucky:hf1:

johnny ducketts 06-13-2008 04:40 PM

that's awesome, good going:btu:

I was there this am could see them busting but couldn't reach them talk about a frustrating experience

Those sets of tides, new moon June, have produced many fish for many people for many years. I have been fishing the canal for 20 plus years with plugs and have never gotten a 40 not even a 35 lber on top. Got close last week. Great job and luck counts.
