Just Google "rigged eels"
and you will find a ton of info. I used one method to rig up some Berkley Gulps and did just fine on a triple swivel on the east end last Sept on vacation. I use 10# mono to hook up the weight so if it snags I can break it off with my 50# Power Pro and Seaguar leader and not lose the eel.

Thank you all for the info and pm offers. Gonna give it one more shot myself.

Can someone have a class? I got a bunch of eels frozen in my freezer that have asked to be rigged. Maybe if we get a bunch of people together who throw in a few bucks each for materials?

There are also posts I did around 97 on the wmi board if you can search that far backk still and more when I posted similar stuff back when Tim started sol. The sol thread had some discussions about why I prefer this method to using squids in terms of how you fish them and how imo the squids make it hard to fish them best because the squid can get hung up if you drag them across the bottom. Do some searches , its worth the effort. |
Clogs......Is that thigh..leading to a sandaled foot? What kinda site did you mistake this for?
Is the added epoxy on the hook to secure the head wrap, or for added weight? or both...or neither? |
I would have done a search before I asked, but for some reason I don't have the search function here on my phone........
