"Streets of Fire" (friends of mine from an 80's rock band played the band in the movie

The movie starred Michael Pare, Diane Lane, Rick Moranis, Willem Defoe and a young Bill Paxton.

The band was a local band called "Face to Face"
Diane Lane's character just happened to look an awful lot like an ex of mine from the same timeframe, only my ex had long blonde hair.

Larry :kewl: digging all the old movies...especially the Horror/Sci-fi

I try and turn my kids on to the older flicks, they love The Day the Earth Stood Still...To bad hollywood felt the need to remake it :mad:

I worked with a kid that was 23....he won't watch a movie if its Black and White :shocked: that's rediculous......I could come up with 100 B&W Movies that are a must see.

I'm surprised you forgot to mention The Grapes of Wrath

Wow! I was unaware of that! It might be good? Different looking for sure? I liked the War of the Worlds remake but still like the original better! I like the John Carpenter remake of The Thing but still like the original better! I will check it out!

I end up sitting and watching 'Almost Famous' everytime I come across it on TV, its on HBO now

'Shawshank Redemption' always draws me in too

'Purple Rain' is good if i'm in the mood for it

almost any of the 'Bikini Carwash' movies are great, especially #4 :hihi:
