As most everyone knows, what we figured out for the Rod Raffle was done in advance of the S-B nite out. I originally decided to do the raffle on January 11th and I think it's best to stick with that. A lot of people had already sent for that raffle that I should probably keep it seperate from the event. So I think we should keep it at the 11th as that's how we started it out - even thought there were some great ideas as far as keeping it to the S-B "Too Friekin' Cold to Fish" Night....

So when the drawing formality's are complete, when does the new formal owner take possesion from the former owner Mr. Capesams?

Actually I have the rod already. Once the winner is selected we'll arrange a pickup or meeting or shipping depending where & who it is. Like if the winner is at the reel or rod parties or at the S-B nite or I can deliver or ship...

I have a bunch of checks that I'm going thru and will deposit at the bank and I have a bunch of tickets to send back out if you want them mailed. I will put the tickets in envelopes and hand deliver if they are to be at the Plug party and the rest I'll mail back if you want the actual ticket - otherwise I can PM you the raffle ticket numbers.

Again, this has been an incredible boost to the site and I appreciate everyone pitching in :kewl:

First off, I want to thank EVERYONE for pitching in and taking a shot at this rod! This has turned out EXCELLENT and there has been a lot of generosity from all of you folks!

Although I'm sick of seeing red tickets in my dreams now, I'm thankfull for all of you helping out, for sending me the thank you notes in the envelopes, the extra to throw in for the site, the beer money :cheers: and the buy an icecream for Liam :kewl: .It's all GREATLY appreciated and I thank you all.

And everyone give a round of (silent internet) appluase to Capesams for wrapping & donating such a sweet rod! Thanks man! :btu:

OK - the plan is that tomorrow, my wife will make one last sweep by the PO box just in case. Tomorrow evening I'll have my son pick the winning ticket (no gum, bright colors, or tricks will occur to get his attention :D )

I'll PM everyone their ticket numbers (as only half got out in the mail in time) and e-mail Saltheart a copy of the spreadsheet with ticket numbers.
