Just be thankful he didn't turn you into an elf....or worse.

Raven 01-06-2009 02:44 PM

eyes are "the most difficult aspect" of all i should've just transplanted your whole head... instead

maybe that's better......... lesson learned :)

art or photo editing is an addiction

Starfish 01-06-2009 04:11 PM

Transplanting would have been good, you could have changed me into a cow;) You always do good work editing. My husband just got adobe photo shop and I love watching him edit. It is definitely an addiction, he sits there for hours at a time.

Casey did take a pic with my eyes open, he just happened to post the one with them closed.

And Crafty that pic did come out good. As crazy as the whole thing was!

for all of you reading this thread....

that water is extremely dangerous...any river like that
is because if you turn the wrong way the fast current can literally knock you over with ease...

it happened to me once... and luckily a good friend was with me and was able to extend his hand and pull me up

man was i frozen too... but the scary thing is...

when that current is washing over the top of you....

the weight of it is tremendous and even though its only knee deep it has incredible force you to the bottom strength.

so if you go alone remember this post and keep your stance side ways to the current.... if possible

Hey, if Raven gets a 2nd chance, I do too...:hihi:

Did a two minute touch-up on the original image yesterday when I was just about out the door on my way to work - man, I haven't done print work in so long in PhotoShop I forgot stuff because I was in a rush...:hs:

Here's a version I did today when I had a little more time, color balanced, dodged and burned a little, etc etc - I think it's either a great wall-hanger for you guys or a nice photo for Casey's desk - or maybe both!

Yeah, it'd be really cool if we could have our own Blogs...:hidin:

Raven 01-07-2009 01:34 PM

we all do have our own blogs Crafty....

right here at S-B...

i don't use photoshop because it's a more difficult program
to use than paintshop pro 8

Corel bought out PSP and their Corel 10 is the equivalent of Photoshop...

Awww, damn - don't tell me I have to ask for a tutorial again....they already think I'm an old geezer as it is...:smokin:

Actually, I thought I had started one but can't find it - well, they don't call me Prince Henry the Navigator for nothin'...

And yeah, Photoshop is a pain in the butt initially but you'd go nuts with it, Raven - the learning curve is steep and it ain't cheap either - but I just had to do it for professional use. Start with Photoshop Elements (if that's still around), it's a good way to get started with it.

On the other hand, Mrs Crafty picked up on it pretty quick - but then she's a smart girl - hey, if ya want proof, she married me, didn't she? :laughs:

Raven 01-07-2009 01:56 PM

once you find it........ or are told where it is...

make sure you bookmark the page

No its actually a funny story. I originally was using a noodle rod with a small spinning reel and I got snagged (imagine that up there) and the line got tied up and around in the split shot. My wonderful husband took the noodle from me and handed me his fly rod (all set and ready to fish) while he attempted to disassemble the mess I had made.
Well I did two drifts and there she was. My first time up there and third drift landed me a fish!!:humpty:
If you ask Casey he will tell you I got the other rod tangled on purpose but yeah no, not so much.
