1: large 3-4 oz sub surface swimming plug (lots to choose from)
2: 10" sinking needle 3: floating Plastic minnow a la Xrap 4: darter ala tatoo style 5: metal lipped surface swimmer 2.5-3 oz(lots to choose from) (I overload my 5 slot bag) 6: Big surf howdy 7: my 3.2 oz floating mag-weight minnow with hinged lip :) 8: A large squid-like swimming plug 9: ronZ with custom head(s) of different buoyancy/weights 10: several buck-tails 2-4 oz and several 2-4 oz tins If I had any room left I would tuck in a spare needle of different color and a few storm shad. It is impossible for me to go down to the beach with the small bag with one plug in each slot, I can't do it. I have tried. I take the small bag, but I always max it out. |

If I have to pick only 5 i will say Five eel hooks.. 'No, four eels hooks and a rigged eel..:jester: |

i have a hard time narrowing down to five per: stage in tide, time of fishing window, amt of current, wind speed and direction, and time of year,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i get it, that you are asking which five are peoples' go-to's. still, it seems counter productive to me and narrow minded when being proficient at working many types of LURES, in ALL fishuations is where i'm looking to take my GAME. broadening rather than narrowing, my friend,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, hence, an arsenal that would give most pause~~~~ although, i think that the sandman's list is in the right vein. why else would there be so many pluggs/AYC mfg's??? funny stuff NIB, as my first two choices would've been riggies and sluggos also, depending on THE where and THE when. :bl: :bl: :bl: |

I understand that no one fishes just 5 plugs. The purpose of the thread was just to see and compare what works for others. I just think its intresting that there are so many different plugs and colors that work for ppl. The thread was just a question thats all, no big deal, if you didnt like it then dont waste ur time answering it. I also picked 5 because half the time when im fishing a tide there are only 4 to 6 that work for at tha time. |
woah, silver!
just having sum fun with NIB, not trying to offend anyone. my apologies iffin i was overbearing with my response,,,,,,,,,i get THAT, alot! it's too close to SPRING to stoke the flames, just mho earlier. THAT! and i've been laid off for entirely tooo long! :bl: :bl: :bl: :bl: :bl: |

BassDawg no apology needed. I didnt mean to come off like a d*** and also ment to put a smile after the wasting ur time part. I am not looking to burn bridges around here, insted i am looking for quality advice coming from ppl like you and maybe a fishing buddy once and a while. I am the type of guy that shuts up and listens because i have not been around the game long enough to have any say. I also feel ur pain in being layed off. Next Friday is my last day on the job and I graduate in May...Sucks  |
AMEN, and i'm sorry to hear about the job sitch.
for me it's the nature of the beast ~being a Union Ironworker. still, it's mighty SLOW out there in the Trades Industry,,,,,,,,,,,, i'm still learning from the wily veterans as well, dunno much~~ prolly better at sharing what NOT to do. perhaps we can hit the NShore together, got KORKERS and eeeeeeeels? :hihi: :hihi:  :hihi: :hihi: |
