Picked up a coupla real nice boat rods over the winter...customs on J Kennedy Fisher blanks...they sure will be nice for live-lining or tossing big eels once the season gets rolling...;)

...and I picked up a sweet Seeker 8' wire rod especially made for the big bunker spoons. I cannot wait!!!

It was squalling last night on the ferry ride back from ACK. Hyannis at 9pm was blizzard like and a PIA driving home after a long day of working on the island. By the time we hit the canal it was gone.

I had great results last year with the Montauk Bunker Spoons. Once the water heated up I was dragging wire in 50 to 80 feet of water off Newport and hammering nice fish. Nothing over 30# but I always had fish.
I had read, over the winter, about a longer rod made for the big swing the bunker spons do so I picked up this rod from a guy in Quincy on the other board. I'll let you know how it works out.
