Back in the 70s I fished with a couple of guys who use to, ahem, toke up before they fished. One of them had very leaky waders and regularly pissed in them. He said it washed out eventually. He caught a 51# bass in the surf at Deep Hole one night with 4 to 6 foot rollers. The fish actually towed him around for a little bit as he was pretty short.
He quit fishing that night and never went back. Claimed he could never top it.

underarmour does the trick for me..

tynan19 06-29-2009 09:17 PM

Anything 100 % polyster. Pants and top. Underarmour or anything similar. Very thin and will keep you warm when wet. Tried going natural last year and after a long walk I was rashed up.

JohnR 06-29-2009 09:42 PM

Warren - what about the Spidey Shorts?

Funny thread - great :rotflmao:

bassballer 06-29-2009 10:13 PM

im an under armour guys myself.. shorts and shirt until it gets warmer then just the shorts.........

I also am a wetsuit wetter. Love it

tynan19 06-30-2009 10:54 AM

Oh yeah bed wetter too Mike. Vic gave me a good tip just wear the suit into the shower and rinse it out.

Fishpart 06-30-2009 11:07 AM

UDT Shorts

ThrowingTimber 06-30-2009 12:13 PM

boxer briefs (bottom) holds the potato right in place and a rash guard (top) Check the clearence rack at marshalls, and tj max type stores they put rash guards on the clearence racks for like 4-5$ at times. So if you have to go with your wife or gf take a look. If theyre there I usually try and pickup whichever ones they have in my size. Theyre not super fancy or anything just simple rash guards but the price is right :bounce:

Dennis, that was halarious!! have you tried socks with cups? Maybe you can fashion some sort of chin strap to the sides of your socks??

shadow 06-30-2009 12:45 PM

nothing works best for me wetting your self in a wet suit is no different then peeing in the bath tub!:bgi:

I wear Mysterioso M-Tech under my wetsuit.

:btu: for this thread, had me lauhging out loud.

JFigliuolo 06-30-2009 01:33 PM

Well considering urine is sterile... I've got no problem letting it flow it the wetsuit. I go comando...

Offshore24 06-30-2009 01:56 PM

Too funny. Polypro shorts and tee would be the way to go. Back when I was scuba diving we'd go when we had to. No holding back.

tynan19 06-30-2009 02:15 PM

Standing on the beach at Cutty after the swim in I had to go. I look at Vic and asked him if he would still go in the suit on the beach. He looks at me and says going now. I laughed out loud and followed suit. Went for a quick flush after that.

Canalman 06-30-2009 02:33 PM

I can't believe you guys wear underwear under your suits!! That's a recipe for diaper rash, crotch rot and serious chaffage! Gotta go naked and NO I don't piss in my wetsuit... mine zippers down the front. :wavey:

Dave,
Your dead wrong on this one. Don't worry. I have picked out a nice pair for you.

This is exactly what I do. An outdoor shower is perfect for it.

I kinda like the way my nakedness feels against neoprene. A couple of weeks ago as I was about to walk in the water wearing my wetsuit, an elderly lady says to me " you don't pee in those, do you ? ". I reply, " lady in a couple of years I will be peeing in my diapers so whats the difference" . . . . she left me alone.

This saddens and makes me laugh at the same time.

Saddens, because I'm sure you actually said that to an old woman.

Laughter, because in a few years I'll be wheeling you and Sweetwater onto the beach in your wheelchairs to catch schoolies while you complain about "the damn kids these days."

MAKAI 06-30-2009 06:56 PM

probably bobberfishing at cliff pond wearing sandals with black knee high socks and plaid shorts or maybe in sweetwaters case no pants.

Believe me, I'm not wrong, at least for me. Even a wet pair of shorts can give me a good chaffe. Neoprene doesn't bother me at all. :yak4:

Now I know why you said you were cold at Cutty... you had wet fabric s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g the warmth out of you.

If you're going to wear clothes under your suit, why wear a wetsuit at all? :jester:

I secretly rock the mankini

tynan19 07-01-2009 10:27 AM

Vic, no wonder you kept getting dressed inside.
The clerk at the dive shop told me they wear wool socks in their dive booties to keep the warmth in. I was fine on Cutty 55 degrees at night with 100% polyster pants no underwear to bunch up. I only wore my bottoms of the farmer john. On top I had a Spider Ski wear thermal polyster top and a dry top. These fabrics will keep you warm even when wet. It is all I wear in the winter for snowmobiling. Very light whicks sweat and keeps you warm when wet.

Clogston29 07-01-2009 10:32 AM

i dress up like ray lewis and walk around yelling "We must protect this house!"

works for me

Just my opinion here. I do the under armor spandex shorts and shirt, no problems. I had an issue with armpit chaffage wearing nothing. Isn't that why they make those rash guard for the surfers necks... to have an extra layer to prevent rashes. It's also easier to just whip your suit off and not have to worry about flashing your fishing buddies. :hee:

How about a compromise? Maybe the StadiumPal?

dont forget some non-scented diaper rash creme... put it on all the "hinges"... arm pits, elbows, knees... What a difference

bassballer 08-12-2010 11:22 AM

great bump. This thread was hilarious.
