I think I'll do Race Point solo and put on the walking shoes. For the girlfriend, Coast Guard will suffice. Get there at 5:45 and air down and be on the beach for 6 p.m. - hopefully see a nice sunset and seal watch ;)

Make sure you have some way of airing back up. I don't believe there is anything immediately off Coast Guard for airing up.

Didn't see a sole out there last night fishing. Fish busting everywhere w/i 25 yards of shore, both bass & blues. Moon looked awesome too.

Can I assume that is a gas station within a short drive?

Thanks for the heads up.

Head towards Boston about 1/2 mile after you get off of High Head Rd. On the left right across from Montanos. It sneaks up on you so be careful.

Thank you ^

I meant on the right. Montanos will be on your left.

Good, now the real fishermen will be in the congo line and less crowded, I hope the seals get the message too. I might just have to take a ride out there someday.

The image in my mind of Bruce schlepping out to RP with three bowling bag's worth of plugs makes me LOL.

update

In a news release dated July 7, the Park Service indicated that after the recent nor'easter fifteen plover nests (73%), 53 plover chicks (52%), and 90% of the seashore's least tern nests were lost.

Since the birds will re-nest, I would expect that this will mean longer closures depending on the nesting sites. There are still a lot of fish around my neck of the woods but you have to do a little walking (good exercise anyway) :)
