To all who have an interest. The DMF is having a meeting tomorrow Sept 3rd at the Radisson hotel 100 water st plymouth. The issue of the inshore pogy boats is not on the agenda but anyone who attends will be given a chance to speak. We are urged to attend at 1 pm. I am making time to attend as this issue is very important to me! Here is our opportunity to stand up for ourselves! My thoughts are if we keep the bait inside the harbor the fish will come! Those of us that follow the rules, don't use herring,DO NOT fish the EEZ (stellwagon) for bass, do not take undersized fish and do not exceed the 2 fish per person limit, will be left with no bait to get on our own. I watched the haul the pogy boats have been taking out of wollaston. Remember the last two years. The great fishing we all got to enjoy. Snag and drag pogies. It won't happen again if we don't do something. There is no reason these boats cannot fish for their quarry outside the harbor. I do not begrudge the commercial guy making a living, but what about the charter captains in the area. NO BAIT=NO FISH. PLEASE JOIN ME WITH AS MANY OF YOUR FRIENDS TO STAND UP.
