Paul, I was alone on the rock for 3 hours last night, all the way thru the high, dropped 1 and missed 2 and I even knew what hook I was using.:) Finally slept for 5 hours and as I write this, the living room has a good 2-3' swell. I think I am going to hurl. Can't wait to do it again tonite.
We got into a mess of rat blues this am, tearing up the eels. John had a 17# bass on a chewed up eel as he pulled it away from the blues. Renegade broke off a good fish as he grabbed the leader. Must sleep. |
Yea Paul, I was kind of wondering why you were asking me for advice. Specially since you weren't listening to me anyway :). I think my favorite night was the one where we went out looking for those rocks noone ever really found, and we found a different set of rocks and it got so dark I could only see the wash of phosphoresence on the rock I was standing on. For my first trip to the island I must say it was harder fishing than I imagined and worse catching than I had hoped for. But that's the game. I'm going to put a rack on the roof of my Silverado cap so kacie has a bigger cave to sleep in next year and two windows.

As usual great work, TY-19 and Starfish. Great storytelling and the pictures are amazing! Hope to get out there with you one day.
