poor fishing in my area from july on pretty much.no fall run at all.

Clogston29 11-04-2009 08:53 AM

no real regrets here. didn't catch as much as i would have liked, but i got out when i could (which was a decent amount) and feel like i caught what i could. some years are always going to be better in terms of size and numbers, its part of fishing in general and especially surf fishing where so much is out of our control. found a few new spots, one of which produced a fish in the mid 40s which was right around my previous PB. i feel like the weather had a serious impact on how often and how effectively i was able to fish this year, but you can't really regret the weather.

My annual trip in the fall on my buddies boat, southern Maine, mid September.. Every year it's lit up with striper action. This year not one fish. Other than that, it was a fun year striper fishing.

Losing good lures on consecutive nice fish, just cuz I wanted a little more casting distance with 50lb pp instead of 65

Fall was slow, but i did get a personal best. other than that, its all good in da hood

I hope they were tuna...

my biggest regret of the season was not getting out in the boat with my dad at all this season.

I also did not spend enough time fishing with a few other people that I should have taken the opportunity to get out there with.

Personally when I did get out there I was pretty satisfied, lost a few nice ones but that's what keeps us coming back...caught my personall best then beat that the same night.

Went through more friggin' gear this year.....

Broke a xra1204 AND a 1081m Both custom... That hurt.

RIJIMMY 11-04-2009 10:38 AM

Bunker where tough to find or up in P. I didnt have as much fun as I did in previous years livelining.

[QUOTE=BS4Shore;721511]I hope they were tuna...:confused:

I wish they were tuna
not even, just bass making a run with my line stuck around rock. 65 can take it, 50 cannot lesson learned

Mr. Sandman 11-04-2009 12:07 PM

My powerball ticket didn't hit.

RNC 11-04-2009 12:16 PM

I wish I fished more and worked less.

Sea Flat 11-04-2009 12:28 PM

Had a nice teaching gig over the summer that was good for $$ but bad for fishing time. I went out when I could and almost always found fish around the Elizabeth Islands including my new PB.

I guess I regret not buying some good tuna gear to give myself a better chance at actually landing the two I hooked up with.

the fall......

the point 11-04-2009 05:45 PM

Not catching my 50 again this year.

numbskull 11-04-2009 06:19 PM

How much my waders shrunk over the winter.

Bazza 11-04-2009 06:27 PM

Like many others... Not going fishing as much as I hoped to. When I had some time during the summer, it was slooow. In the fall, with kids activities and all, only made it out a handful of times.

WESTPORTMAFIA 11-05-2009 02:51 AM

Crafty Angler 11-05-2009 03:13 PM
