Thanks everybody all good places...
DeadlyRichard thanks Jim's Dock in Jerusalem, RI(duh) it's BYOB and CASH only! it is a hidden gem. Just down the road from Matunuk Oyster, but a world away. Surrounded by boats, great view, laid back, old school. I think they run a charter boat or two also... so you can show up fresh from fishing and not get dirty looks. If anything, it might help! hidden gem, laid back, old school... just one I'm looking for. will try it tomorrow. My youngest and I are going to drive up and go out on the Gail Frances for the day definitely going to hit this place on the way back.. Larsen's in Menemsha holds a place in my heart. Ice cold cherrystones  |

It does not sell raw clams on the half shell so I tried the special steamers or mussels, I picked steamers made with garlic and some bell peppers ($19.99) and an order of Fried Calamari ($8.99). My son had Fried Clam bellies (8.99). It was about a dozen and half steamers if that many and most should have fell back thru the clam rake they were that small. I will have to try some of the other places......... |
sir crickets in orleans and belle isle seafood in east boston.

sorry to hear that. maybe they are cheapin' out this year, or I have been lucky(doesn't sound like me.) when we have been, I usually get fried clams & stuffies. Mayhaps the cooler full of iced down beer and my sun stroke influenced me? I'm usually good at judging these things. (I'm in the bizzness) Sorry for the skunkin', hope it was just an off day for them...
