Why? When you have a capatalistic society that depends on economic growth, everyone expects to make more money. Because of this everything gets more expensive. Working people then request more money from their employers.... The employers raise their prices and the cycle continues. Unfortunately, with globalization, the cycle has been broken and our labor force's wages have not risen to follow the costs of living. If you own the company that's outsourcing to china, you are getting richer, but everyone else is just going to get poorer every year from inflation. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
If the trend of American workers working harder for less continues, I see a return of the Unions as a power. I also see real Socialism making a foothold. Our "captains of industry" are guarenteeing this by shipping jobs overseas and turning a blind eye to illegal workers. While at the same time taxing the life out of those who aren't on the dole. There'll be blood.

Ever see that old star trek episode where the cones defeated the Yangs in a nuclear war, ruled them for a few hundred years and then were themselves defeated by the Yangs?
cones = communists (China) Yangs = Yankees (USA) |
