We'll be extending our normal banker's hours this weekend to enable tired fisherman to weigh their fish in a little earlier this weekend.
We'll be opening early Saturday, with hours running from 7am to 5pm and on Sunday we'll be open from 7am to 9am, and 11am to 4pm. |
Just weighed in a 34lb for Dave Daluz

Great time, Liam (obviously) had a blast ;)
Props to Joe, John, Jess, Jeff, and all the crew for pitching in. Redlite pulled another squeaker ! |
I'd like to thank the Habereks for their work on this. John Jr did a great job on the posters and the trophies.Jess and Michelle and Wayne for thier work with the tickets and donations of so many gift certificates and the hassle of getting it all together for the Hospital. As always my brother Jeff was there to mount the trophies and whatever else I asked him to do. Thanks to Ma for watching over all of Henry Donnely's tickets and helping out over in the ticket corner. Thanks to all the sponsors of the tournament for all of the raffle items and to the shops that weighed in the fish. Most of all thanks to ALL OF YOU who participated in this event :bgi:.Without you ,I would have just been a strange man in a bar with a microphone that people wondered about.:devil2: ...Like THAT never happened before!:rotf2: It is a good thing we do here, and I know John is smiling up there thinking.."THAT'S NIIIICE!"

Can we see the results? I didn't even wake up till 3:30pm yesterday
|
Mike Veracka won by a scale with a 35.9 oz striper edging out John Hanecak who had a 35.8 oz fish. Dave Daluz took 3rd with a nice 34 lb fish. Very close this year and some nice fish weighed in! There were also a few 30 lb fish and some in the 20's. Looks like there's a lil' fall run goin on!
|
Thanks Joe! What a close race. Redlite wins another!
All he's gotta do is win a lifetime supply of circle hooks and he'll never have to buy another piece of fishing tackle again |
Hi all,
The contest was awesome, and the after party was killer too. Fun time hanging out with everyone, and all for a great cause. Special thanks to the Habereks and to Pt. Jude Joe and family. Best, Any Luck? |

A few pictures from the weekend. Unfortunately I don't have the redlite mojo, and no prizes for bluefish, so no fishpics for me!

That was a great time. My first time at the habs. Sure not to be the last. Kacie was giggling all the way home. She's got the Mojo.
