Ok next dumbass question. Trying to delete the old directory so it never gets confused and used again.

My computer
select icon
right click
delete
lots of hard drive action for minutes
BONK windows error
Won't let me delete the directory

WTF :smash:

it's not in use...

striperman36 12-27-2010 04:30 PM

disk error or do it in dos

UserRemoved1 12-27-2010 04:33 PM

DOS? What's that isn't that like rubbing two sticks together to make dinner?

iamskippy 12-27-2010 04:38 PM

there is a process that is attached to it. is this the directory from the old website? was front page running? reboot the try to delete it if not im sure i can kill it for you. i wouldnt worry about it.

Re-boot What's that?

UserRemoved1 12-27-2010 05:01 PM

YES old directory skippy. FP not running. Will reboot and retry. I just want to wipe it so I don't zone out and accidentally spend an hour working on something only to find it's in the wrong site. :smash:

a directory in dos is written as this symbol :point: \

so go into dos - it's in your accessories folder
or go to run and input command

and type a question mark after the c:\ (and whatever follows)

to see your commands and directories list

in there you'll see the delete command

UserRemoved1 12-27-2010 06:51 PM

reboot did it. Something was still trying to use it. Not sure why. Thank you nerds :hee:
