I got mine a month and a half ago, since I bought it at a tackle shop would I be ok scanning a copy of it to have in my wallet at all times? I bought the combo and keep it in my plugbag all the time, when I fished opening day for trout over the weekend I realized I had forgot my license in my plugbag good thing I didn't get checked.
Everytime I run into D.E.P. they just ask if I have the license on me and never actually check, happened 2 weeks ago when I was targeting schoolies. D.E.P. guy was more concerned with looking for some guy who dumped a quad in the river... |

lamination machines
the one my wife used at work
uses heat... and it presses them together but i believe staples sells lamination materials and then you iron them together hmmm, no heat required it says but it'll cost ya ten bucks http://www.staples.com/GBC-SelfSeal-...:StaplesSearch |
Yes can buy press&seal lamination sheets (various small sizes) at Staples for a few $. No need for heat, not sure how it would hold up to a swim just make multiple copies.
|
I also used the clear packing tape.

But if there is a fish and GAME office near by, you can go there ....have them look up your names and they will print out another copy for you. |

Secondly can I fish in other States(legally),if so which ones? Thirdly how old do you have to be to obtain one? |
Staples will laminate them right in the copy center, I had four done the other day and it was like two bucks.

You don't need a license if you're under 16. Everyone 16 years or older needs a license, even if there's no fee for them (eg, over 60, "disabled" etc). |

I am really hoping to see DMF have some positive advancements taking place with the monies collected in the next year or two. I just can't shake that screw me feeling.
|
I did it yesterday.I'm not a supporter of it at all.If the money is used to help keep the beaches clean, porta johns in public places and trash removal,I have no problem paying. If the money is dumped into the general fund and helps pay for some politicians 1000 dollar a plate dinner I am not happy. This fee is going to get higher and higher as the years go by.The government will try and profit from it like everything else.Yeah I paid 7 bucks and a couple for some lamination sheets at staples.I've never been checked in fresh.
|
I thought the fee was to cover the cost of the telephone surveys along with the overhead.
Now if everyone says the monies should go for here and there then don't complain when the fee goes up and you get your wish Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
I can see what will happen already, DMF gets x amount of dollars from the sale of licenses, following year DMFs' budget gets cut by X. no gain just pain.:smash:

From the bottom of page that license was printed;
The Division of Marine Fisheries is dedicated to sustaining our fisheries and a healthy marine ecosystem theough innovation, collaboration, and leadership. Recreational saltwater fishing permit fees are directed to programs in support of this vision. Fees are used to improve public access to our resources and build programs that advance management of out fisheries. With your continued support we will work to enrich the publics (sic) way of life for many years into the future. We'll see..... |
