Almost perfect, its a matter of personal preference, but I generally hold my left hand about the level you have yours, but I "palm" the reel in my left hand. You can level the line with your left thumb if you don't have a levelwind and holding the reel keeps you from twisting the rod when you reel. A trigger reel seat gives you something to hook your finger around. A little shorter butt would hit right in the right spot without giving you a tail. Overall looks good experiment and find out wha tis comfortable to you.

Wow that is hiarious. It's great to start the day off with a good laugh:D

yeh - what fishpart said. Working plugs and eels, I'll often put the rib butt between the knees/legs, cup the sideplate of the reel with my left hand and reel with my right. You get good control, quick tip drop, and quick to the clutch when eeling....

You like that 920 for dunking :err: ?

Great Pick Bloo - buit which one is the skinny twerp :laughs: ?

bigcat - man, my collegues are cracking up this morning! it's embarrassing. <thanksalotbloo - >:smash:

John - great site and thanks for your input. I just grabbed the closest reel I had for the picture. It's a 930 and I'll be swapping out the handle for a larger one. <and, no I don't use that for surf> I use a squidder for that rod.

thanks all for the info and laughs on a tuesday morning.

Im going to try wireless fishing this year . Its all the rage ! no line to have to worry about and the fish dont even feel the tension back to the rod . thro chunck in the water red lite on end of rod goes on with a strike , set hook and lift . Peta will give me an award for this , probably some kale or spinach ( poor leafy friends ) .
