Same dude sells $25 pliers with a leather sheath for $85.

Everyone that I know that made a deal with Orvis complained about how it ended up for them. doing rod repairs over the years I;ve fixed a lot of their stuff as they don't do well in follow through from what I've seen an heard.Wish the guy luck as he's probably sellin the plugs to them for 15 bucks.

You can buy allot of eel hooks for that price.

I hope people know that was just a joke about the wack thing. I do work in an inner-city school so wack is in my daily vocab. That being said, in my profession, in no way do I have the abilities to jump on the bandwagon for over priced stuff. Even if I wanted to.

I always wondered why they don't serve tea and crumpets to you as you walk into their retail store.

better yet....beside the water fully catered with a butler
or perhaps a french maid

I do like the tail hooks though. Although a recent big fish pick has me thinking longer (much) and thinner. Probably do soem of both.

Your joke was obvious ... in regards to the bandwagon comment, it was targeted at Orvis jumping on ...

Rich Fisherpeople! :)

I checked the boxed sets he sold last year- $165. Now his website says $325- but I figure Orvis made him do that. He could not sell them for $165 if they had them for $325.

I think the guy is a good guy -likes to make artsy plugs that are for show- like decoys that are art and not supposed to get wet.

So for a Christmas present for a grandfather to get a box set for Christmas for $165- is not the worst present.

So Lets blame Orvis for the price rip-off not the guy who is one of us.

What's the problem, I already bought 3 boxes for bluefishing next season. :rotf2::smash::buds::jump1::fishin:

I don't blame the guy. He's a mere cog with a decent profit margin. While Orvis is a bigger cog making a little fatter money.

I just outright refuse to spend that money on something like that.

I was surprised to see an Orvis store in the quincy market areas in boston. I didnt go inside because i know they are ridiculously over priced. The same as a lot of high end places. They have pretty cool items that are mostly made in china for about 10 bucks and they flip em for a few hundred. I couldnt afford much in their outlet store in Hyannis so going into the boston store would have been a waste of time. They do have one item on their website that is pretty cool. Another ridiculously over priced item...
