You'd be amazed at how many "depressed" or "anxious" people my fiancee has as patients every week that are just looking for a free ride. Then there are the multitude of pill seekers that are on MassHealth who already have a free ride and sell their benzos, adderall and pain pills. Working in health care for as little as a year will convince anyone about how rampant exploitation of the system is by leeches. When I would go into these people's houses after they dial 911, there's not enough planning time for them to get the BMW out of the driveway or hide away the 50" flat screen tv like they do when the social worker comes by. That's an extreme case that I personally witnessed. Then there was the 23 year old woman pregnant with her 6th kid by 4 different baby-daddies that collected disability because of depression. These people have no shame and know the system better than most. They have learned that mental disorders are much easier to exploit than chronic pain complaints. |

New Bedford has a long line of attempted stabbings of gang unit cops? (like father like son!) Good pizza? Oh yeah, C.E.Beckmans. :hihi: |
Check out the ads on TV for drugs to "fight" depression.
Then listen for the "side effects" that these drugs may cause. Wonder why many of those that are truly in need of assistance are typically the test pilots for the new drugs on the market, and end up worse than before? Taking pills to counteract side effects of pills that counteract side effects of other pills that ......etc. Unless the person has a good health plan, or pays out of pocket to see a specialist, they are probably going to become a pill-popping guinnea pig for the next big drug to come down the pike. |
