There's someone upstairs at Fenway a lot smarter than I thought there was.

Today is the day that I will entertain the idea of being interested in what the Red Sox are doing. They lopped off a couple of massive tumors today.

That was an awesome move by the sox...lets see if they can do something with the extra cash. I would have loved to see them throw Lackey in for free.

I liked Gonzalez...but to get rid of that much salary is amazing. Lets see what Cherington can do with the money

I used to like the Sox, but I am not liking the way this looks. I am willing to bet they will never replace that salary with different players. All the pink hats still selling out the stadium make it possible for them to cut that pay and not put quality players on the field.

Let's not kid ourselves. That "sell out streak" has been dead for months now and it is beyond a joke that the Sox still claim it exists.

How can they claim a streak still after the Royals came to town? :smash:
