Bloo, tell us who this "so called" mechanic is so we are all aware of it. I've been an auto tech for 20 years and I have never given up that easy. Sounds like he didn't use all his resources.

I think Capesams is right. I contacted over a dozen different mechanics. He was the only one who would even look at it. I really thought it was going to happen, he had all kinds of certificates on his walls, "OMC Specialist" this/that etc...Insured me that there would be NO problem getting it on the water :laughs:.... Still not sure on what I'm doing....to convert or not convert, that is the question.

fishaholic: >>>Tripp Marine out of Wesport Ma. is the place. Customer Service Sucked! I had to call him, EVERY time, sometimes leaving multiple messages with NO return call. He sat on my boat for 7 months with not even a peep. I don't like to do this, but I feel he wasn't professional about his business. Very pricy too. If possible, stay clear of that place. IMO<<<

Bloo, Capesams is right. The boat builder on 177 makes brackets. ROG I think is the name.
