i wouldn't stay in America
if i were him.... Alaska maybe.... but he doesn't look able to handle Alaska his LOOKS will have to radically change or he'll have to "enrole/request" the witness protection program |
This case should serve a lesson to all about how the media manipulates facts to distort them to serve their agenda. NBC has just admitted that they "edited" his statement to make it look like he stalked and killed Martin. This is definately true for politics as well. I truly believe that I can't believe anything i see or read any more will be 100% truthful unbiased journalism. There was once a day when any news that had any skewed opinion in it was not considered news and then considered "opinion". Those days are long gone.

So what? He's not a perfect kid so you get to shoot him? That's effed.
When someone is cracking your head on the pavement....yes it could be justified. Quote from Obama...."If I had a son I would want him to be like Travon." Apparently the anoited one did not know his rap sheet was an arms length....I myself would not want a son like that. |

it kind of struck me the other day... not from this Zimmerman case tho that everything we learn about from the media is manipulated journalism to keep us either PACIFIED or stupefied into "disinformation land". ~ the case i'm referring too completely different subject i know :hidin: is the amount of disappearing persons from our national parks that from the declaration of park officials `never happened. :fury: They LIE :fury: |
sad story all around. Given the evidence I dont see how he could have been convicted.
Its funny, if Zimmerman had the done the exact same thing - getting out of the car, calling the police, etc and saved someone, he would have been called a hero. He was trying to do the right thing. |
having a gun on your person....
isn't having a magic wand that makes Anything you wish happen some people will ignore that fact and begin the fight regardless "that mindset" created by HOLLYWOOD is the source of many tragedies |

I prolly watched 80% of the trial and couldn't believe the speculation, conjecture and twisting of the facts by the press. What a bunch of BS. The Press is based on sensationalism, viewer numbers and $$. They are So far away from reporting the facts and unbiased journalism it comes nowhere near the original purpose the press was intended for. I give those Women on the jury tremendous credit for not caving into emotion, and arriving at a verdict based on the evidence and Florida law. |
My son asked me what i thought of the case just bfore the jury went into deliberation. My response was that I hope the justice system works and that the jurors make an honest determination based on the facts. I explained how the media manipulated (not just NBC) the story to sensationalize and did more of a disservice than anyone, especially Trayvon & Zimmerman.

There wasnt enough facts to convict him. But "IMHO" and thats OPINION, is that if Zimmerman wasnt trying to be a Herowannabecop the kid would be alive, and prob in jail where he belongs. Hey bud, you cant fight, your not tough, leave this to the real cops.

Where is the race issue.....zimmerman is hespanic.....yes I remember where the race issue started....news media calling him a "White Hespanic." from the gitgo. I guess with a name like zimmerman UUUU could almost say he is Jewish |
Actually the media started out calling him White.
Then after the pictures of him came out and he's obviously not a White guy they then called him a White Hispanic. [QUOTE=Fly Rod;1006353] Quote:

Women’s jewelry and a watch found in Trayvon Martin’s school backpack last fall could not be tied to any reported thefts, the Miami-Dade Police Department said Tuesday.
The Miami Herald in its Tuesday editions reported that it had obtained a Miami-Dade Schools Police Department report that showed the slain teenager was suspended in October for writing obscene graffiti on a door at his high school. During a search of his backpack, the report said, campus security officers found 12 pieces of women’s jewelry, a watch and a screwdriver that they felt could be used as a burglary tool. Funny how I'm (probably most of the rest of the country also) just hearing about this today. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
that was merely gifts for his pot smokin girlfriends

Zimmerman called police, did Martin? he had a cell phone. There is no way anyone of you could have convicted Zimmerman based on the evidence. |

Wasn't it reported Martin text a girl saying he's going to kick some Cracker's SSS or something to that effect ???
QUOTE=RIJIMMY;1006407]was Martin attacked? Was there any proof that Zimmerman attached Martin? Any proof? Did Martin have any wounds other than the gubshot? Conjecture and BS=nothing meaningful
The killing of another when in fear for your life is very subjective. Different folks reach the point of no return at different times in a struggle. First thing the jurors had to ask themselves who had the right to belong there, Zimmerman or Martin. Regardless of whether or not the gun gave him more balls, (hell I know many cops who wouldn't have left the station without one, ands that probably why they wanted the job, to carry one) he had the gun because he volunteered for the neighborhood watch. You can rant about the dispatcher telling him not to follow the kid. The dispatcher has no lawfull authority over George Zimmerman or anyone else. Was it sound advice, more than likely though. When Zimmerman still followed the dispatcher should have reasoned with Zimmerman to at least follow from a distance. Zimmerman never made any racial statement on the cell phone call. The only racial bias I heard during the trial came from the Martin witnesses. What he did was lumped Martin in with other perps, real or not, that have caused problems in his condo development. Anyone of us might have come to the same judgement, but probably would have minded our business. The kid made a terrible seventeen year old mistake that he paid the ultimate price for. I would be willing to bet Martin showed no respect to Zimmerman, because he was a hispanic man. Hispanic people are the majority in Florida and have been for several years.
You have to remember, someone not physically fit(Zimmerman), a wuss, a female, an older person, they are going to pull that trigger much sooner than most. And the victim has the right to use a greater force against the perpetrator than is being used against them. Gun v.s. sidewalk, gun wins. |
Sad situation for both families. Based on the law and no other party around to tell their side, Zimmerman would have had to have been found not guilty. That said, the law needs changing.

stand your ground.
|
This case was not at all decided on the stand your ground statutes as the defense avoided it like the plague. This case's defense was presented totally from the self defense point of view. If I had a kid on top of me smashing my head against the sidewalk and I had a gun in my pocket , I'd have shot him before I passed out from the head bashing. I believe if Zimmerman had passed out , the kid would have kept bashing his head in until he was dead. if I think that , its totally understandable that Zimmerman also thought his life was in danger and fired his weapon to save himself. now there was a ton of stupidity all over the place that night but it has zero bearing on Zimmerman's decision that his life was in danger and he defended himself. Good shoot , good defense , good verdict.

No winners in this, no matter what happened.
It looks like now, if you are found not guilty, some politician will keep trying till some jury finds you guilty of something. Looking more like Idiocracy every day. |
